This term we have been working on foam printing. We first drew a rough copy of a cityscape in our books. Then we drew it again on a white piece of paper. We then put the piece of paper over the printing foam and outlined it with pen which made it sink, that made it a cityscape. We used rollers to paint over the foam which made a print on the paper and left were it sunk white. We then cut it out and measured the length so we could paste it on to a black cardboard piece of paper
With art this week, we learnt about printing. It is when you get a piece of paper and you draw a design.( we did a city scape ). Then you get a piece of printing foam and trace your design onto the printing foam. You won’t see anything, but you will fell the groove.
This term we have been learning about Printing.First we drew a picture of a cityscape into our books.Then we drew it on a piece of paper,from then we put a piece of foam underneath it.Then with pen we went over the drawing and it started making the surface sink on the foam.Then after that we painted it with paint and a roller.The we put it on a piece of paper and took it of and it made an impression.Then we washed the foam for our next colour.We did about 4-6 practice ones before doing our good copy.
We made art with cities . First we all chose a picture on the internet to get some ideas of cityscapes. Then we drew a cityscape in our book. we got foam(for printing)and we copied what we drew onto that foam. After that we rolled a roller in paint ( purple ,light blue, blue, orange ,yellow and red) place paint down on top of the foam . After that we placed the foam on our practice sheets and we took it off and ,VOALAH! A cityscape came out . After that we did our good copy and DONE
The first instruction was to look up a picture of a cityscape and draw a draft in our YCDI book . Then show the teacher. The second step was to get a piece of printing foam , use a ruler to make the cityscape but first you have to get your book with the draft and put the draft on top of the printing foam, press deeply with a pen . Next , you lift up and trace your foam again so it is very deep but not that deep that it makes a hole. After that you have to use a roller and do a practice . Then do a good copy . I used purple and blue . I printed it by using the roller and printed.
At art, my class were going to make a cityscape by using foam and other tools. The first thing we had to do was to draw our design in our book as a draft, to give us some ideas we looked at some images of cityscapes from the internet. Next we drew it on a piece of paper, then we took our foam and put our piece of paper on top and traced through the lines deeply with a pen. Then we traced the marks again deeply and when we finished we rolled the roller on the foam with paint and then we stuck it on the A3 paper and when we peeled it it left a painting. After we finished painting we cut our painting and stuck it in a black piece of cardboard making sure its in the middle and our tags with our information about our work.
In our class, we did printing art. When we did it, first we used our i-pads to look up cityscape images on the Internet, so we could get ideas, then we drew our ideas into our books and traced it onto some printing foam. After that, we rolled the coloured paint we wanted on our printing foam and did some practise ones on A3 paper. When the class had all done their practise printing, we did our good copies on A4 paper and stuck them on black card. We all had a fun time doing printing and were happy how it all turned out.
In foam printing we had to use our I pads to look up photos of the city skyscrapers. Then we had to design our own city in our books and there had to be finger spaces on the sides and on the top. Then we got a small piece of printing foam that was the same size as the city in our books, the we got a pen and pushed hard but not to hard that it would poke a hole through the printing foam and drew the city that was drawn in the book. We got a roller with some paint on it and rolled over our city, then we got a piece of paper and got our city stencil and put it upside down then put it on the paper, then you are done.
As a class we did printings.
We drew buildings and then we got any kind of pen.
Then we got 1 piece of printing foam and copied the drawing off the piece of paper on to the printing foam.
Next we would have a practice and then we got another piece of paper and did the good copy.
Finally we go a black piece of paper.
Then you are done.
My class had a lot of fun doing this.
How did we do this art?
First we did a search on the internet for some cityscapes,then we drew our own cityscape.After we drew our cityscapes on printing foam,we painted the printing foam with the rollers.
Finaly we printed the printing foam on a piece of paper and we got the cityscape art work.
What did we do?
First we did a few practise ones and if we wanted to change colours Mrs Tharle would wash them so we could change colours.
Finaly, after about 4 to 6 practise ones we Finaly did our good copy.We printed two good ones,cut them out and pasted them on black paper.After we stapled our art work together and hung them up in the classroom.
